At Wallbit, we want you to have complete control over your finances. That's why you no longer need to contact our Support team to update your basic account information. You can now update your personal details directly from the Wallbit app—quickly, securely, and in just a few taps.
Here's what you can update and how to do it.
What Information Can I Update in the App?
Phone Number
If you've changed your phone number, you can update it to continue receiving SMS verification codes and account alerts.
Email Address
Update the primary email address associated with your Wallbit account to continue receiving notifications and important account updates.
Disable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
If you need to remove the additional security layer provided by your authentication app (such as Google Authenticator or Authy), you can disable it yourself from your account settings.
How to Update Your Information
To make any of these changes, follow these steps in the Wallbit app:
Open the Wallbit app and sign in.
Go to Profile (located in the upper-left corner).
Select Personal Information.
Choose the information you'd like to update.
You can update your address.
You can update your email address or phone number after completing biometric identity verification.
Complete the identity verification process to confirm the request.
Enter your new information.
Confirm the changes.
Note: To disable 2FA, go to the Need Help button when the app asks you to verify your identity during sign-in.
Security Considerations
To help protect your funds and prevent unauthorized access, please keep the following in mind:
Identity Verification
When you update your email address or phone number, we'll ask you to verify your identity to confirm that you're the one requesting the change.
Disabling 2FA
We recommend disabling two-factor authentication only if you're switching to a new authentication device or in exceptional circumstances. Be sure to enable it again as soon as possible to keep your account secure.
If you run into any issues during the process or no longer have access to your previous verification method, don't worry. Contact our Support team through the in-app chat or our official support channel, and we'll be happy to help.
